On June 25, 2019, all brand holders owning a reserved domain name will have their rights lapsed, leaving the domain available for registration by someone else.
For five years, Nominet reserved current domains under .CO.UK, .ORG.UK, .ME.UK, .NET.UK, .PLC.UK, and .LTD.UK to prevent third parties from registering duplicate domain names. It’s important to note that only domains registered before October 29, 2013 acquired the rights to the equivalent .UK domain.
So if you haven’t registered your .UK yet, we urge you do so, or discuss this matter with your CSC representative. Please note that to process your registration in time, we require your order by no later than Friday, June 21, 2019.
