Donuts Gives .Charity
Donuts registry announced the addition of a new gTLD to their already large portfolio, .charity. The gTLD follows the standard Donuts launch process. A Sunrise phase for trademark holders will begin July 10, 2018, and run through September 8, 2018. Multiple applications for the same name will result in an auction. General Availability begins September 12, 2018, with a 7 day Early Access Period. There are no restrictions and the TLD is open to registration by all interested applicants. S is for Secure: Google Chrome Marks ALL Non-HTTPS Sites as “Not Secure”
Google has long championed a more secure internet, and their next move will now take those efforts to a new level. With the release of Chrome 68 in July 2018, Google will mark any site without an SSL certificate (non-HTTPS) as “not secure.”[1] This will be enforced regardless of content or the intended use of the site, and highlights the importance of encryption and data security online.
Thailand Offers .th Top-Level Domains Again
THNIC, the registry for .th, opened a new round of registrations for top-level .th domains. The registry only makes these domains available for a limited time. The registration period will close again on July 16, 2018. Registrations are limited to persons or organizations established in Thailand, or which operate under Thai law. Domains are available on a first-come, first serve basis. For more information, please contact your Client Service Partner.
