Chinese IDNs available for .VIP
Starting November 21, 2017, .VIP will allow Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) in the Chinese script. The only languages previously available were Spanish, French, and German. All Chinese script IDNs in .VIP will be considered premium domains based on the number of characters. Domains are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The IDN domains must be registered independent of their English language (ASCII) counterparts. Holders of an ASCII domain do not have reserved rights for the IDN version.
